You will need to buy a specific calculator (or purchase an app for your phone if you prefer). This is the calculator that we will be teaching from and it is crucial that we’re all using the same one.
You need the HP 10bii calculator for this class. You will be fine with either the calculator or the app. If you buy the app, you don't need to purchase extra features that you may be offered.

No homework is required for this course. However, every so often, there will be a problem to work before the next class. You will also have access to a large bank of problems (along with answers) that you can use to practice on your own.
